Rising temperatures are rapidly thawing Arctic permafrost. As it thaws, permafrost releases carbon that will eventually impact ocean currents. Permafrost: Connecting Observations to Models is a multi-faceted look at permafrost research in the Arctic. It follows scientists as they collect data in the field, analyze it in the lab, and then use the data to model the dynamics of permafrost as temperatures continue to rise. The video also represents one possible look at Climate Perspectives: Change in the Terrestrial Arctic, an interactive exhibit of Arctic climate science through the eyes of scientists and artists. It is being developed by the Bradbury Science Museum, a division of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
